About the Job
Key Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day operations of file storage services, including:
- Creation and management of file systems and shares (SMB/NFS).
- Basic quota configuration and capacity monitoring.
- Assist in block storage management, including:
- Creation and modification of LUNs under supervision.
- Support LUN masking and host presentation activities.
- Participate in SAN operations, such as:
- Assisting with zoning tasks (FC / iSCSI).
- Supporting connectivity and troubleshooting activities.
- Assist in configuring and monitoring replication mechanisms.
- Gain understanding of synchronous and asynchronous replication.
- Perform first-level troubleshooting of storage incidents.
- Execute operational procedures following documented standards.
- Maintain and update technical documentation.
- Work closely with senior team members to build technical expertise.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Basic knowledge of storage concepts (file vs block storage).
- Familiarity with:
- SMB/NFS.
- LUN concepts and multipathing.
- SAN fundamentals (FC and/or iSCSI).
- Interest in enterprise storage technologies and infrastructure.
- Strong willingness to learn and grow technically.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to Dell Technologies or HPE storage platforms.
- Basic knowledge of Linux and/or Windows systems.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware).
- Internship or entry-level experience in IT infrastructure.
Nice to Have:
- Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash).
