About the Job
Key Responsibilities:
Support day-to-day operations of
file storage services
, including:
Creation and management of file systems and shares (SMB/NFS).
Basic quota configuration and capacity monitoring.
Assist in
block storage management
, including:
Creation and modification of LUNs under supervision.
Support LUN masking and host presentation activities.
Participate in
SAN operations
, such as:
Assisting with zoning tasks (FC / iSCSI).
Supporting connectivity and troubleshooting activities.
Assist in configuring and monitoring
replication mechanisms.
Gain understanding of synchronous and asynchronous replication.
Perform first-level
troubleshooting
of storage incidents.
Execute operational procedures following documented standards.
Maintain and update technical documentation.
Work closely with senior team members to build technical expertise.
Required Skills & Experience:
Basic knowledge of
storage concepts
(file vs block storage).
Familiarity with:
SMB/NFS.
LUN concepts and multipathing.
SAN fundamentals (FC and/or iSCSI).
Interest in enterprise storage technologies and infrastructure.
Strong willingness to learn and grow technically.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to
Dell Technologies or HPE storage platforms.
Basic knowledge of Linux and/or Windows systems.
Familiarity with virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware).
Internship or entry-level experience in IT infrastructure.
Nice to Have:
Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash).
